Every year we recognize, share, and support the PFIC community in hopes for a better future for those we love!

Our theme for the 5th Annual PFIC Awareness Day was #StrongerTogether.

While PFIC is rare, there is so much we can do if we work together. From supporting each other through sleepless, itchy nights to pooling our data to advance scientific understanding of PFIC, we truly are #strongertogether!

2023 Infographic and Video Every year we create a shareable infographic for social media.

This year we created a video and infographic! We had so many #strongertogether photos shared it was impossible to keep count! We hope that it reached many people who may not have known what the disease was because that is the spirit of raising awareness.

2023 Awareness Campaign: Stronger Together The PFIC Network Registry and how it can help!

“Awareness” is knowledge or perception of a situation or fact. To raise awareness of PFIC, we have to increase other peoples’ understanding of this disease. One of the best ways we can do this is by sharing our experiences through data. One of the best ways we can do this is by sharing our experiences through our data in the PFIC Network Patient Registry!

Fundraising

In 2023, we raised over $45,000 to support PFIC research!

Through community peer-to-peer fundraisers and local events, our supporters all over the world came together to support the PFIC Network mission!

In 2023, we added a new tradition to PFIC Awareness Day: our first ever charity disc golf and corn hole tournament! In addition to disc golf and cornhole, there was food, games for kids, a reptile exhibition, henna tattoos and more.

Nestled in the hills of the Red River Gorge in eastern Kentucky, the scenic disc golf course at Redpoint BBQ was the perfect place to host this fun, family-friendly event. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

The hard work of a wonderful team of volunteers & the generosity of our many event sponsors made our first disc golf tournament and charity party a huge success. We raised over $10,000 to support PFIC research! We are forever grateful for our local Red River Gorge community and their dedication to supporting our mission.

Thank you to our peer-to-peer fundraisers!

Peer-to-peer fundraising is when individual supporters organize their own local fundraisers. It is everything from simply asking your friends to contribute to a cause that is important to you to hosting a bake sale or charity walk. In 2023, our peer-to-peer fundraisers raised over $12,000 to support our mission!
